Rev. Fr. George Palliparampil the vicar of Sleevapuram Parish and the parishioners requested the Provincial Superior Mother Pius to open a convent at Sleevapuram which close to Kothanalloor. Realizing the need and the possibility of a convent there, the Provincial Superior purchased a plot of land from the Thalachirakkuzhy family there. The superior and community of Kothanalloor welcomed the opening of the new convent and promised whatever help they could. On 31st May 1990 Rev. Joseph Chalil, the vicar of Kothanalloor Parish laid the foundation stone. On 1stJone the construction work was started under the leader ship of Sri. Thomas Vettoor  Engineer and contactor. On 17th Oct. 1990 the construction was completed. Mar Joseph Pallickaparampil, the Bishop of Palai blessed the convent. That day itself 3 sisters began to stay there.
    Teaching in the LP School here, the sisters take special care in the education of the children, their character formation and faith formation. Besides they actively participate in the family fellowship, prayer meeting and various organisations. Through house visits, visiting the sick, counseling etc. the sisters come to know the problems in the families and help them accordingly. The parishioners and the neighbors generously take care of the sisters and help them in all their needs. The sisters sincerely work to inculcate a good Christian spirit and fellowship in the parish.
